Children in Need

We will be raising money for Children in Need on Friday 19th November.  Children may come into school in non-school uniform for a donation of 50p.  Please bring in cakes for our afternoon cake sale (parent's welcome to buy cakes from 2:45pm) and remember to make your games to play in the afternoon and some coins so that you can play other people's games!

Blue Peter Competition

Looking for something to do?

Blue Peter and Buckingham Palace are giving you the chance to design an emblem that will be used in the celebrations of The Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012, marking her 60 years on the throne.
The winning emblem will be seen by millions of people around the UK and the World, and will appear on everything from posters to commemorative teacups!
To enter, here's what you need to do:
  • Design your emblem on an A4 sheet of paper
  • Don't include an image of The Queen
  • Do include a crown somewhere on the design
An emblem is a simple picture that represents something significant. For this competition, your emblem should represent The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Look at these simple guidelines, then see the Inspiration page for a few ideas:
  • Your emblem design should be creative. Make it stand out from the crowd! How will it be different from everyone else's design?
  • Your emblem design should be simple so don't add too much detail! It can be colourful, but needs to look good if converted to black and white.
  • Your emblem design should be relevant and easy to recognise. In other words, it should make people think of The Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
  •  Check out Dos and Don'ts, find inspiration for your emblem design, and read the FAQs. For a full list of the rules, and the address for your entries, see the Terms and Conditions.

Time Capsure Winners!

Recently 3JF took part in a competition organised by Fordingbridge Society to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The children were asked to describe either their favourite place in Fordingbridge or what they thought Fordingbridge would be like in 25 years time, the winning entries are to be placed in a time capsule. Three of our children were chosen as winners in the competition and have been invited to a prize giving evening.
